임상시험용 의약품 및 대조약

A pharmaceutical form of an active ingredient or placebo being tested or used as a reference in a clinical trial, including a product with a marketing authorization when used or assembled (formulated or packaged) in a way different from the approved form, or when used for an unapproved indication, or when used to gain further information about an approved use.

임상시험용 의약품, 시험약(Drug product) : 임상시험에 사용되는 의약품 중 대조약을 제외한 의약품으로써, 식품의약품안전처장이 정한 “의약품 등의 안전성‧유효성 심사에 관한 규정” 제14조 규정에 따른 의약품

대조약(Comparator) : 시험약과 비교할 목적으로 사용되는 위약 또는 개발 중이거나 시판 중인 의약품
